Naturopathic Services
Naturopathic medicine is a form of alternative medicine that places emphasis on the healing power of the body. It is a blend of western and traditional medicine which encompasses herbal medicine, asian medicine/acupuncture, nutrition and homeopathy. Naturopathic doctors address the fundamental causes of disease, heal the whole person through individualized treatment, and teach the principles of healthy living and preventative medicine. An ND will spend over an hour with each patient, delving into every aspect of their chief complaint, as well as other contributing health factors such as exercise, diet, and sleep. A unique treatment plan is then created with the patient to help them achieve their specific health goals. Naturopathic doctors are regulated health professionals and primary care providers.
Nutritional and Herbal Supplementation
Supplementation is one of the most common forms of treatment and may be considered for a variety of health concerns. The healing properties of vitamins/minerals and botanical herbs have been well studied for many generations.
Dietary Counselling and Weight Loss
My goal when working with patients is to inspire positive and sustainable lifestyle changes when it comes to dietary choices. What we feed our bodies directly impacts our health and wellness on a medical level and may be contributing to your specific health complaints.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine in which thin needles are inserted into the body. It can be used to promote healing of muscular ailments, provide pain relief, or realign the energies of the body for a more comprehensive treatment.
Laboratory Diagnostics
Specific laboratory tests may be used to determine the root cause of your illness. They allow for a more deeper understanding of your body, help to monitor risk factors, and provide a baseline for treatment outcomes.
